Lecturer of the Department of Aquatic Product Technology Earns Doctoral Degree from Kyushu University, Japan
The Department of Aquatic Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) of IPB University proudly celebrates another remarkable achievement. One of its lecturers, Rizfi Fariz Pari, ST., M.Si., PhD.Eng., has successfully earned the Doctor of Philosophy of Engineering (PhD) in Applied Chemistry from Kyushu University, Japan.
In her dissertation titled “Chemical and Enzymatic Treatments of Cellulose and Ulvan from Green Seaweed Ulva lactuca for Industrial Applications”, Dr. Rizfi explored the potential utilization of cellulose and ulvan compounds derived from green seaweed (Ulva lactuca) for the development of environmentally friendly industrial materials. Her research is expected to contribute to the advancement of marine biotechnology and promote sustainable industrial innovation.
This achievement reflects the strong commitment of IPB University’s lecturers to advancing research and innovation in the field of aquatic product technology.
