Rizfi Fariz Pari, S.T., M.Si., Ph.D.Eng. is a lecturer at the Department of Aquatic Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB University. His fields of expertise include genetic engineering, extraction technology using enzymes and organic solvents, and molecular modeling to study the interactions and extraction processes of aquatic-derived compounds.

Rizfi Fariz Pari’s research focus includes the isolation and utilization of microorganisms and enzymes for the depolymerization of seaweed polysaccharides, the development of polysaccharide extraction methods using enzymes and organic solvents, and the simulation of interactions between organic solvents and seaweed polysaccharides through molecular modeling. In addition, he develops machine learning-based approaches to select optimal combinations of organic solvents and enzymes for polysaccharide and protein extraction processes. This research is directed toward the development of more effective, selective, and innovative extraction technologies to enhance the utilization of seaweed resources.
