Welcome To ISAPPROSH 2015
Indonesia is an archipelago with more than 17.504 islands, laying over 3,000 miles from east to west with the most strategic shipping lanes in the world. As a maritime nation Indonesia has abundant natural resources of marine and fisheries both renewable and non-renewable. Therefore, the fisheries industry has economic value and provide jobs for the people.
Vision government in encouraging Indonesia as “Global Maritime Axis” became an important step forward in the development of greater maritime strategy. One of the five main pillars for realizing the vision is to maintain and manage marine resources, with a focus on the development of food sovereignty through the development of the fishing industry.
Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) as one of the spearheads the implementation of the government’s vision has an important role in maintaining and managing marine resources and fisheries. The management or utilization through the fisheries industry is focused on supporting the development of food sovereignty.
One of the important fisheries industry is the aquatic product processing industry. Therefore, the results of research and technological innovation resulting from institutions/organizations need to be shared with fellow researchers and also disseminated to the end users.
The 2nd International Symposium on Aquatic Products Processing and Health (ISAPPROSH) will be held on 13-15 September 2015 in Semarang, Indonesia. The ISAPPROSH 2015 becomes the first Joint Symposium being held and organized by Department of Fish Products Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Diponegoro University; The Directorate General of Fisheries Product Processing and Marketing, MMAF; Indonesian Society of Fisheries Products Processing (MPHPI); and Ma Chung Research Center for Photosynthetic Pigments (MRCPP) – Universitas Ma Chung, Malang.
This event is intended to allow the researchers from universities and research institution, policy makers, practitioners, fisheries industrial sectors, students to share knowledge and experiences in order to strenghthen the national aquatic industry.
The symposium will consist of seminar and exhibition. All accepted paper will be published in KnowledgeE Digital Libraries-Proceeding and selected paper atAquatic procedia published by Elsevier. Meanwhile exhibition will present innovative products and the latest technology from industrial fisheries products processing local and national.
