FishLog Goes Global! Closes Seed Funding from Investors Led by Insignia Ventures Partners
CEO and Co-Founder of Startup FishLog, Muhamad Reza Fahlepi and Bayu Mukti Anggara, alumni of IPB Aquatic Product Technology batch 48 and 50, have now announced that FishLog has completed its initial funding from investors. This funding was led directly by Insignia Ventures Partners, a venture capital provider company from Singapore.
Other investors who participated in this funding are Arise owned by MDI Ventures Telkom-Finch Capital Amsterdam, KK Fund owned by Koichi Saito-Kuan Hsu, Ango Ventures owned by Mariko Asmara Yoshihara-Belda Shimura-Bagus Mahawan, Captain Fresh owned by Utham Gowda, and other angel investors such as Co-Founder & CEO of Kopi Kenangan, Edward Tirtanata, Co-Founder of AwanTunai, Windy Natriavi, CMO Shipper, Jessica Hendrawidjaja and several other names.
“Through FishLog, we are building a market entry driver for all fisheries stakeholders in Indonesia, streamlining their supply chain processes to be more efficient and transparent in a more sustainable way,” said FishLog Co-Founder & CEO, Bayu Mukti Anggara.
The company has planned the injection of funds to scale up its regional network across the country and expand the ecosystem of digital products and fisheries services in Indonesia. With the planning of the allocation of funds, FishLog can enable new partners to join the ecosystem and improve the team’s capabilities. Another achievement is that FishLog has participated in several competitions and acceleration programs, one of which is DSLaunchpad ULTRA.
The FishLog startup has another plan, namely to focus on the middle-chain logistics similar to other logistics services such as Ritase to Shipper. Until now, FishLog has succeeded in establishing partnerships with more than 25 supply-side storage (Warehousing) in coastal areas and has succeeded in serving more than 10 cities in Indonesia from Aceh to Papua. FishLog has also succeeded in helping approximately 100 fishermen with the services it offers.
“After observing, it turns out that many farmers and fishermen experience similar problems. Especially during the peak harvest seasons, there is a real drop in prices. With that background, we finally tried to form FishLog with a mission to help farmers and fishermen to process fish, handle the post-aquaculture supply chain itself, so we focus on post-harvest,” said Bayu Mukti Anggara, an alumnus of IPB University’s Aquatic Product Technology.
