Listiani S.Pi Becomes the Best Graduate of THP and the Best Graduate of FPIK IPB University

Listiani S.Pi Becomes the Best Graduate of THP and the Best FPIK IPB University at the third graduation (02/15/2023). Listiani is one of the 55th batch of Aquatic Product Technology students. She is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. Iriani Setyaningsih M.S. and Dr. Ir. Bustami M.Sc.

Listiani did not get the best graduate easily. During college, she was not only active in academic activities but also non-academic activities. “My activities during college apart from academic activities, I also participated in organizational activities and practicum assistants. Organizations train my critical thinking and problem solving, while being a practicum assistant allows me to deepen my knowledge by teaching and practicing it again. During college, I tried to balance organizational and academic activities, but academic activities remain the main priority,” said Listiani.

Listiani also said that since the beginning of college, she actually did not focus too much on grades. She just did her best and studied as she should. Because for her, the purpose of college is to seek as much knowledge as possible.

After going through the twists and turns of college, of course Listiani has been in a down period. “I feel down when there are a lot of assignments plus other problems, such as family problems or other problems. Or when other people have made progress (for example during research) while I am still there. But that is between making me down and making me motivated to catch up,” said Listiani.

She always believes that in the process of achieving something there will always be obstacles, whether it is a factor from herself or other factors. Many problems occur. But with these problems can train problem solving.

Of course, in overcoming various problems during college is not an easy path for Listiani, external factors really help her in solving all of that. “My biggest motivator is my parents. I really respect both of my parents who always believe in me. They always teach me to be able to live independently and be responsible for myself,” said Listiani.

During college, Listiani’s parents never asked about her grades, they always believed that she could be responsible for her own life. Therefore, she always tried not to disappoint her parents until finally she was able to become the best graduate of THP as well as the best graduate of FPIK IPB University.

After graduating, she wants to practice the knowledge she gained during her time as a THP student in the world of work, especially in the field of fishery product processing. She also advised her THP friends in the class below her to stay enthusiastic about studying at THP. Continue to explore knowledge from the great THP lecturers. Hopefully we can all realize our respective hopes.
